Introducing the Conservative Minute Network

The Conservative Minute Network (CMN) is a cross-promotional system that will provide participants with audio clips that are 30-second increments in length (30, 60, 90, 120).  It is designed with the concept that any Conservative, Republican or similar podcast may join, provide audio clips of their own and use clips provided by other shows.

The base concept of the audio clips is the "morning update" format akin to what Rush Limbaugh produces for rebroadcast on his affiliate stations.  In these clips the host touches on a current issue that is political in nature.  A minimal amount of time is spent in the clip promoting the podcast itself.

By providing content in this way, podcasts can expose their "voice" to audiences of other shows.

Information on membership, postings and content usage can be found at http://conservativeminutenetwork.blogspot.com/2009/04/rules-for-cmn.html

Rules for CMN

A podcast can join the network (aka become a member) by submitting a clip and having it posted on the network.  Members must submit at least one (1) clip every 60 days.  Members are encouraged to screen and utilize as much network content as possible.  Because of the potential size of the network, member usage of the content will be on an self-policing honor system basis.  If other member networks notice a member not posting or utilizing content, they are well within their rights as members to harass the errant host!  Membership in the network is a discresion of the cooridnators of the network and can be withdrawn by either the host of the podcast or by a designated representatave of the network.

Clips from any podcast must be approved by hosts of at least 3 other member podcasts.  This approval process is designed to ensure that content provided to members can be used by the maximum number of member sites.  Once posted, all clips become the property of the CMN and are released on a Creative Commons Attribution No-Derrivitives license.

All clips will be posted for public consumption on a hosted blog.  Member sites can download the audio from the website or request that the audio files be emailed to them.

A member site may submit a minimum one entry per day up to to the number of episodes they produce in a week.  It is suggested that members post at least one clip per week but there is not a requirement.  The only requirement for membership is that one clip be submitted and approved every 60 days.

Members of the network are encouraged to use audio from the network in their own shows as a way of promoting network members.  The audio can be included as a part of the podcast's regular content or posted as an individual entry.  There is no requirement for usage of the member audio.
